Harry Haining Zhang Bio

Harry Haining Zhang is a financial professional, entrepreneur, and international business advisor with a career that spans more than 30 years across finance, investment management, and cross-border business development. [resume | PDF]

Originally trained as an astronomer at Nanjing University, Harry later expanded his academic interests by pursuing graduate studies in sociology at Louisiana State University, bringing a uniquely broad perspective to both business and investing. [resume | PDF]

After beginning his career in research with the Chinese Academy of Sciences and China's National Commission of Science and Technology, Harry moved into the financial services industry in New York. He worked as a financial consultant with South Richmond Securities, Merrill Lynch, and Stuart, Coleman & Co., helping clients navigate investment decisions and build long-term financial strategies. Since 1998, Harry has served as President and Managing Director of China Venture Partners, where he has focused on connecting businesses, investors, and opportunities between the United States and China. A native son of northeastern Pennsylvania, Father Brian earned a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from the University of Scranton before pursuing his priestly formation at Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary, where he received graduate degrees in theology and divinity. He later continued advanced studies at the Pontifical John Paul II Institute, deepening his understanding of theology, marriage, and family life. [linkedin.com]

Over his years of priestly ministry, Father Brian has served in a variety of leadership and pastoral roles throughout the Diocese of Scranton. He was chaplain at Holy Cross High School, Master of Ceremonies for the Bishop of Scranton, pastor of Ascension Parish and Saint Katharine Drexel Parish, and later pastor of Christ the King Parish in Archbald.
