Erik Diemer of Blossum & Buzz Beekeeping spoke to us about his experience working with the bees. he has been doing this for 13 years. Honey bees are responsible for 1/3 of all the food we eat today. How they make honey is from 20-30 flowers per flight and the nectar is transferred from bee to bee and then put into the hive. Honey combs is the was. Summer bees only live 3 weeks till they work themselves to death. Winter bees live the longest....for months! |
