Habitat for Humanity She Nailed It - We are the 2nd Place Winners - The Silver Hammer
CONGRATULATIONS  Stroudsburgs Rotary Team Members- Joan Molloy, Kate Jendral, Cheryl Cloke, Kin Roberts
Awesome job!!! For our first time competing coming in 2nd out of 9 teams is awesome. Thank you Rotarians for coming out to the Historic Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort and supporting our team.

Rotarian Claudette Williams was also in attendance participating with another team. Good job Claudette!

Thank you Rich Berkowitz from the Sherman Theater for sharing with us all the great events you are offering this upcoming year. Can't wait for the outdoor events.
Great job bringing four guests to our lunch meeting. We hope they will eventually join.  John Dennis is the first to have a guest fill out an application! Way to go John!

Our Centennial Gala was a great hit. If you weren't able to attend you really missed a fun time. You can still join us again when we have our Spring Fling at Shawnee Inn & Golf Course Pavillion.
There was a fabulous selection of h'ordeuvres during the cocktail hour and the h'ordeuvres came out faster than you could eat them, however, it was a fabulous selection. The waitstaff was exceptional. The buffet dinner was delicious. Thank goodness for being able to dance some of those calories off. Leslie Underhill spent many hours putting together a slideshow video, Rotarians really enjoyed looking back in time. Doris Wehe was able to attend and expressed extreme gratitude seeing pictures of her and Bob. She said it brought him back to life again and warmed her heart being around all of us.
My favorite part was the Battle of the Past Sargent at Arms between Ray J Starner and Rich Berkowitz. It added a lot of fun and humor. I think Rich won the battle when he upped the fines from $1 to $5. He fined 99% of the Rotarians $5/pp. President Don Hannig had great energy and did a great job acknowledging past Presidents, District Governors, Years of Service, past projects, etc. It was really a great time. Kirby Upright and his wife Joyce were putting us to shame on the dance floor. They sure know how to shake a leg. The women were dominating the dance floor and were full of smiles.  What warmed my heart the most was Frank & Barbara Herting dancing, and then seeing Barbara Herting out on the dance floor for all the fast songs. I think she danced with almost everyone at least once. We love you Barbara, I bet you slept well that night. It was so nice seeing members we haven't seen in a long time and the presence of some guests of Rotarians and members from other clubs. Last but not least, we appreciate the attendance of our District Governor, Mary Ellen Bentler and Past District Governor Marcia Loughman (& PDG Karen DeMatteo). We really appreciated them attending our wonderful milestone.  Thank you Karen DeMatteo for the wonderful name cards and helping setup the room along with Jim & Margie Becker, President Don Hannig and Stacy Rodriguez.
Thank you, Kin Roberts with taking charge of 50/50, always looking to raise money for Rotary and Polio, along with our Sargent at Arms.
Past President Lucille Prawl was the winner of the 50/50, going home with approximately $250.00.

Thank you Jeff Wright for the wonderful History book on the 100 years of Stroudsburgs Rotary.  We will be selling these at our meetings. If you are unable to attend and are interested please let us know by responding to this email.

Apologies to the Centennial Committee on the lack of meetings and involvement. No excuses from me, I just didn't get my act together. Please feel free to help Dave Yarosh with the Spring Fling. I'm sure he will appreciate it.

Rotarian Updates
Ange Ortenzi is doing well. they have a lot going on right now. His wife expressed that he is under going some treatment and would not be attending the Gala, however he is recouping and plans on returning to Rotary.

I spoke with Gary Roberts wife and she informed me that for his own safety, Gary is at Grace Park in a studio apartment. She meets with him every morning for breakfast, coffee and the newspaper. I'm sure he would appreciate cards or visitors. I told her if she needs anything please do not hesitate to reach out to Rotary. (She said she had never thought of that before.)

Our sincere condolences to Ann & Dave Super on the passing of her mother. May she rest in peace, and may you and your family find the happiness in all the memories you shared.

If you have any information you'd like to share with Rotarians in the future, please respond to this email. Just remember Rotarians are just a phone call away. Let's pick up the phone and reach out.
