Rotary Community Support Team
Last week our Spaghetti Dinner planning committee agreed to indefinitely postpone this May 16 event. At the same time there were a number of us who wanted to continue meeting to develop actions that we could take to support our club and community during this pandemic.

Reach out to Dave Super at dsuper80@yahoo.com to be involved!

Topics at the last meeting included:
1.  Actions taken to date
2.  Agree on purpose and avenues of approach
a.  Service
    - to our fellow members
    - to organizations that are actively supporting efforts in our community

b. Financial support
   -  from club members
   - District grants
   - fundraising
   - possible fundraisers
Membership Incentive
Our Rotary District 7410 has instituted an incentive for increasing membership for Rotary.

Based on that incentive from our District; the Stroudsburgs Rotary Club is offering the following to increase Rotary membership:

1)  The Club will be waiving initiation fees of $60 and new member dues for the remainder of 2019 - 2020 and for the year coming up of 2020 - 2021.
2)  The sponsoring Rotarian for the new member will have $100 contributed to the Stroudsburgs Rotary Foundation by the Club in their name.
3)  Applications of the perspective Rotarians will need to be submitted / received no later than 4/16/2020 to either Michele Baehr (secretary) or Jeff Gilbert (president).
4)  Initiation of the new members will take place at either a lunch or evening Zoom meeting no later than 4/30/2020.

The extension of the above Incentive Program will be at the sole discretion of the Stroudsburgs Rotary Board.

The Stroudsburgs Rotary has an opportunity of making a difference in membership for our District; and, aiding our Club with members to carry on our Mission.

In order for the above Campaign to be meaningful, we will need to be asking people to join who are already familiar with our Club and Rotary.  These people would include our spouses, past guests and past Rotarians.  Timing is critical.  Our Club and our Community need people who want to be connected to something that places Service Above Self.
