The Pocono Cinema is the oldest theatre in Monroe County opening in 1929.  it reopened in 2008 as the non-profit center having stages added as well for live performances, art galleries that are student run and of course the cinema itself.  They are excited to provide hands on experience to students in running a gallery.  Theatre is very accessible and they have been changing their formatting to be "sensory friendly".  They realized there was a large population that was not being served and made simple changes in lighting and sound to make sure the programs are suitable to patrons especially children with autism or on the autism spectrum.  This is an inclusive program.  Expanding the programming is thanks to funding received from RCOTS.  The next event will be a sensory friendly concert likely in the spring of 2020.  Pocono Cinema is always looking to add new programs and partners.  They welcome new ideas so reach out to Courtney at courtney@pococinema.org Also, the 3rd Saturday of every month there are free movies for children.  Their Red Carpet Event is coming up on November 16th.  For more info visit their website!
