Judge Patti-Worthington came to speak with our club about the state of the bench in Monroe County.
Here are some highlights:
-With our case load, we need 8 judges
-In January up to 7 counties fund District Judges but the State funds the county
-This year starting pre-trial services - Keep out of jail (Drug offenses & mental health)
-All Judges involved in many committees (Both local and statewide)

-Highest crime rate of all 4th class county
-Child custody-Very high but gets through the court and lower at the end of year
-PFA are very high
-Able to reduce mortgage foreclosures-60% stay in homes
-Child Support/Divorce is steady but higher than other 4th class
-Domestic Relations-do a very good job of getting reimbursements
-Canines in court-lowers emotions/calms children and jurors. Can request to attend hearings
