Program: Alefiyah Vahanvaty, the daughter of Rotarian Ramlah presented Success for Life.
Ms. Vahanvaty started the first GED tutoring program of this kind in the community, focusing on matching volunteers with students based on the students needs. 44 tutors volunteer for the program. They meet with students at one of the Counties libraries to help the students study for the GED. Education is one of the best ways to prevent poverty. Information on the program can be found on the Eastern Monroe County Public Library website. Thank you for sharing this program.
