What happened last week?
50/50:  Dale Fuller had the lucky # for the 50/50.  However, she was unlucky with pulling the queen so $62.00 rolls over.

New Member Publication (1st):  Enid Logan, Executive Director of Family Promise of Monroe County.

Program:  Our very own, Cleo Jarvis presented "What is Kwanza?".  Cleo provided an interactive presentation on what Kwanza is and is not.  Kwanza is not a religious holiday.  IT IS a celebration of African American Culture celebrating family and community over food and needed gifts.  There are 7 days of Kwanza with 7 symbols.  Each symbol has a special meaning to the holiday.  Kwanza means the 1st fruits of harvest.  Thank you KwanzaMama for this informative presentation!
